Kraftwerk in Cracow!!!
Kraftwerk will be a star of the 6th edition of Sacrum Profanum Festival this year. They will perform on 19th, 20th and 21st of September in unusual place- Arcelor Mittal Steel, in Nowa Huta district.
The signature Kraftwerk sound combines driving, repetitive rhythms with catchy melodies; mainly following a Western classical style of harmony, in a minimalistic arrangement. The group’s simplified lyrics are at times sung through a vocoder or generated by computer-speech software. In the mid to late 1970s and the early 1980s, Kraftwerk’s distinctive sound was revolutionary for its time, and it has had a lasting impact across nearly all genres of modern popular music.
Ralf Hütter – synthesizers, organ, lead vocals
Florian Schneider – synthesizers, background vocals, computer-generated vocals
Fritz Hilpert – sound engineering, electronic percussion
Henning Schmitz – sound engineering, electronic percussion, live keyboards.
Stefan Pfaffe – video technician (filled in for Florian Schneider on the Spring 2008 US tour)
